After a hiatus of over a decade, Imran Khan is set to make a return to acting with the romantic dramedy Adhura Hum Adhura Tum with co-star Bhumi Pednekar. The movie brings Khan back together with director Danish Aslam, with whom he worked in the 2010 rom-com Break Ke Baad.

The “chocolate boy” of Bollywood took a break from acting in 2015 to focus on his personal life and mental health. He is famous for his roles in I Hate Luv Storys, Break Ke Baad, and Gori Tere Pyaar Mein.
A Lopsided Romance With an Undeniable Connection
Adhure Hum Adhure Tum’s production started in April 2025 in Mumbai, with completion aims by July. The film will drop on Netflix India in Early 2026. A portrayal of ‘dysfunctional romantic dramedy’, its humor and heart blended with relatable chaos, seeks to resonate with the charm of Khan’s earlier works like Jaane Tu… Ya Jaane Na and Delhi Belly.
Bhumi Pednekar Receives The Prized Role
Gurfateh Pirzada will play a role with Bulldog Productions is yet to be unveiled in their next project featuring Alia Bhatt and Salman Khan. Pednekar’s portrayal was recently featured in Pinkvilla, and he was applauded extensively for it.
Previously, Gurfateh was known for his portrayal in the Netflix series Class and was widely acclaimed, making him a promising addition for the role.
