Pak Suzuki Motor Company has officially revealed comprehensive safety and comfort improvements to its Suzuki Cultus hatchback in Pakistan. This step has been taken due to customer expectations of more advanced features and following international automobile industry safety standards.
10 New Enhancements Focused on Passenger Safety and Ride Comfort
The 2025 Suzuki Cultus also receives 10 other improvements to the vehicle in a bid to further enhance safety and ride comfort for passengers. Most notable of these improvements is the addition of a rear center seatbelt and head restraints for the rear seats, which gives added protection to the rear occupants during collisions.
Improved Warning System
Another important addition is a warning buzzing system on the driver’s seatbelt, which buzzes if the seatbelt is unbuckled, which is a further added safety feature that accompanies an indicator on the speedometer.
Child Seat Addition
Some of the most significant new safety features are the ISO-FIX child seat anchor system, which provides a better and simplified means of fastening child seats, making child safety seats easier to install. This also comes with a child seat anchor garnish, which improves the aesthetics and ensures that the parts will fit well into the vehicle’s interior.
Other improvements consist of some changes made to increase cabin comfort and usability, but the comprehensive list of features is still undisclosed by Suzuki.
Price Hike Across All Variants Following Upgrades
At the same time, these improvements have resulted in a price hike for all variants. The base model, Cultus VXR, has risen by Rs. 372,000, bringing its new price to Rs. 4,230,000. The VXL and AGS variants have also seen an increase of Rs. 72,000 each.
Industry analysts believe that the pricing offers has risen given the addition of safety features added, which shifts the Cultus closer to international safety standards.
As with the Cultus, Suzuki has also revised the price of its Swift model by Rs. 80,000 for all variants. The Swift GL MT variant is now priced at Rs. 4,416,000.
Safety Upgrades Seen as a Positive Step
Notwithstanding the price increases, the Suzuki Cultus continues to remain one of the most popular cars in the hatchback category in Pakistan. What makes it attractive to new customers is the resale value, its easy maintenance, and the fact that spare parts are available in bulk even with the stiff competition from other Suzuki models like the Alto and Swift.
At the same time, this does pose a threat to other competitors because the price is lower than pegged in a competitive market.
